AISH MUQAM- PAHALGAM

The shrine of Aish Muqam is located inside a deep cave situates on a hillock in Anantnag, a hundreds meter off the main road of Anantnag-Pahalgam. It is devoted to Sheih Zian-Ud-Din Wali, a saint believed to have spiritual power. He is better known as Baba. This sacred shrine houses several holy relics associate with the Baba. The month of April marks annual urs of Sheikh Zian-ud-Din Wali. Followers celebrate the day by hosting a week-long festival every year. Torchlight procession in the evening is the main highlight of the festival. This festival is popularly known as ‘Zool’ festival and numerous numbers of devotees visit the shrine to celebrate it in a grand way.
