JAWAHARLAL NEHRU MEMORIAL BOTANICAL GARDEN
Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Botanical Garden is situated at the foothills of Zabarwan Mountain, along the road that lead to famous Mughal Graden Chashme-shahi. It is a well designed, modern and landscaped garden established in 1969. Sprawling over an area of 80 hectares, this quaint garden overlooks the vistas of world famous Dal Lake. The Botanical Garden is consists of four sections- Plant Introduction centre, Recreational Garden, Botanical Garden and Research Section. It features several styles of inner gardens that can satiate the inner senses of the tourists and hence, this is the best place to unwind and rejuvenate. There is a beautiful lake spread across a land of 17 hectares that offers paddle boat facilities to the tourists. The Botanical Garden is relatively quiet and peaceful than that of Mughal Gardens and boasts of around 300 species of flora including beautiful willow and cedar trees. Entry fees to the Botanical Gardens are Rs 10 per adult and Rs 5 for children below 12 years.
