SURU RIVER- KARGIL
The Suru River is a 185 km long river tributary of Indus River that flows entirely through the Kargil district in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. The Penzella glacier near Pensi La is the main source of Suru River. It has immense possibilities for rafting expedition and tourists practice the activity mainly in summer season. The river has formed a valley named as Suru Valley, which is the base camp for mountain expedition to popular twin mountain massif Nun-Kun.
