Fotu-la-Pass

Fotu La is a high mountain pass on the Srinagar-Leh highway in the Zanskar mountain ranges in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Lies at an altitude of 4,108 meters (13,478 feet), Fotu La pass is the highest point on the highway. It is one of the two high mountain passes between Kargil and Leh, the other being Namik La. At the top of the pass, there is a television relay station of Prasar Bharti serving the town of Lamayuru, the nearby settlement.
